Or… Tunes help you breathe more easily
Don’t you hate it -no, I mean really really hate it -when a tune gets lodged in your head?
And you can’t shift the bleedin’ thing?
It’s stuck in there, arms folded in a recalcitrant manner, obstinately refusing to disappear -or even gracefully fade away…
And it’s driving you almost to the point of insanity because even as you sit at your desk trying hard to read that briefing paper it’s in there, pecking away at the far end of your consciousness.
Maddening!
Well that’s me…Â maddened, but twofold!
There are two stuck in there.
And they’re taking it in turns to wind me up.
Just when I manage to convince tune number one to lie down, up pops tune number two to take its place.
Frustratingly maddening!
A couple of hours later tune number two eases in to the background noise of my mental processes only to be replaced in the foreground by tune number one!
Again!
So let me introduce you to my two tormentors -if for no other reason that just to give you a big laugh at my expense…
Tune number two is the forthcoming Sugababes single -Without You Now.
Yeah, I know.
Sugababes?
Me?
OMG!
You can stop laughing now.
No, really -you can stop laughing now.
Please?
Thank you.
My biggest tormentor, tune number one, is…
Chris Moyles’ signature tune -The Brand New Cheesy Song.
Argh!
Echoing around in my head as soon as I typed those last four words is the build up to the chorus that goes (in harmonic ascendancy): ‘Brand new cheesy song, brand new song, brand new cheesy song…’.
Anyway, Sugababes.
I can’t do anything about that, yet. It’s not on sale for another week or two.
But the other one?
I feel I owe it to you to share my plight.
So come on, click on this link then click on the ‘Chris Moyles with his Brand New Cheesy Song link (I have to do it this way, a direct link doesn’t work) and join my maddened state.
B.
I think the Sugababes are good. So there!
I have every single one of Kate Nash’s songs in my head. Constantly. It’s driving me insane
I can’t stop singing Amy Winehouse at the moment … arghh! (but she is brilliant, though)
