The Beeches (Ire) (known as Beech or B):
Foaled: 5th April 1993
Sire: Be My Native (USA)
Dam: Red Bit (Ire)
Grand Sire: Henbit (USA)
Put to sleep: 29th November 2007 (14 years)
An enthusiastic racehorse bred for but unsuited to the sport.
And when he came to live with me he became (after a couple of years of getting the mentalist racehorse out of his head):
* a sometimes talented one-day Eventer (but temperamental over show jumps and unenthusiastic at dressage)
* a complete and utter star over any cross country fence, course or track
* an excited, animated yet totally safe hack
* a fabulous all-round riding-club style horse.
Beech and I have been through so many things since he came to live with me.
I will miss his character, even though he has gone to a better place.
Farewell, Beech.
Even though I don’t like horses. I like some humans and some of them loved you…
I’m sorry, Bren *hugs*
RIP, Beech
I’m so sorry to hear Beech has gone, he was a character with real presence. RIP Beech
Brennig, he looks and sounds lovely; my thoughts are with you…big hugs xx
Brennig, looking at those pictures, all of the memories will be good ones.
Beautiful horse.
Mya x
Oh crap!
So sorry Bren x RIP Beech you beautiful boy.
Thank you everyone. I’m still in a state of devastation. It’s almost as bad as losing one’s child and I speak from experience of that too.
