A new road-related development!
Unmarked police motorbike(s).
This morning a nice big unmarked BMW motorbike cruised effortlessly past me and pulled in the speeding motorist who was attempting to reach take-off speed.
The bike had no visible flashes or police signs – just four very brightly-flashing blue lights.

Good idea. Except for the fact that I have always been told to speed up and get the hell outta here if an non-visibly police motorist tried to pull me in. (And wait until you get to a populated place before pulling in in any case, but how easy is that?).
Aye, I guess there’s a good point there. However most people doing 100+mph would, I suppose, pull over to the hard shoulder if they suddenly encountered four blue flashing lights in their rear-view mirror.
The various UK police forces make great use of unmarked cars for traffic duty. An unmarked bike is just an extension of that.
