A date that will live on in infamy (cue Kenneth Williams in a toga hamming it up with the immortal “Infamy, infamy, they’ve all got it infamy!”).
Meanwhile, in a quiet corner of rural Worcestershire, the next stage of a sinister plot to take over the digital world is put in to action.
Yes indeed, on Saturday 1st March 2008 a podcast will be released.
The podcast This Reality will hit the digital streets.
Much of the detail surrounding This Reality remains a mystery to the outside world but a few, slim facts have managed to leak out…
Do you like Country and Western music?
Then This Reality is just the place for you… for you not to be.
Do you enjoy many deep and meaningful conversations about soap operas? And horoscopes?
Then come on down to This Reality – and keep on walking straight past the door. Although I’m sure the odd comment or two about ‘Friends’ might sneak in (seeing as we now have 25 channels of televisual camel droppings to not watch in the house, and ‘Friends’ seems to be on 23 of them on a rotating cycle).
And who knows… some kind of horoscope might really be on offer too.
So what kind of thing might you hear on This Reality?
Music – yes. Mostly you’ll hear good quality, unsigned acts; high-energy; ballads; other stuff too!
Chat – yes. There will be some commentary (and a little ranting!) but as the technology becomes more stable you should see (hear?) the amount of outside recordings (strange things found in whichever Reality we happen to be visiting at the time) will increase. (see what I did there – the This Reality tag? It links in dude!).
Different people – yes. Some people will add their contributions to the pot. As well as having other contributors I hope that people will add their views – either via the email address as, erm, email – or via sound clips/recordings of their own. Oh yes, I’m going for the full-on interactive, off-the-shoulder in emerald green look.
