I’ve got that Sunday ‘back to school’ feeling which is ridiculous given that I don’t actually go to school.
Daughter and I are chatting on Skype. She’s unhappy that despite the severe snowfall in the high country (over 2m in the last four days) the roads are sufficiently clear to allow her to get to school. Boo!
I’m trying to imagine what would happen to the UK if we got hit by over 2m of snow in four days.
*drifts away to a world of exploding editorial heads at the Daily Mail, and endless blame being put on everyone who the rag doesn’t like*
Anyway.
Daughter and I are playing word games. It started out that we were singing to each other. Yes, singing over Skype chat. You should try it, it’s fun. And funny. Well it is if both people playing the game are 13 years old. Sometimes being 13 could be a bit of a stretch. For me, obv.
I’ve just realised that I have been sitting here with headphones on for the last 20 minutes, but not listening to anything. Shoot me now.
Daughter and I play with our words she’s scary-bright and and has a rapier-like mind. If she could be bothered to learn the rudiments of Scrabble she’d be unplayable – to the likes of simpletons like me, anyway.
Anyway, back to words.
Here’s a clever little video around the theme of word-linkage. Nice.
That is a very clever video. I love the final link.
I think it was a bit to arty for me. I got half way through the video before I realised that I had to guess what words the pictures were portraying and link between them. Can you do something similar with formulas please?! Ha ha!
Too clever for me, too. I was about halfway through before I realised what I was supposed to do.
“I’ve just realised that I have been sitting here with headphones on for the last 20 minutes, but not listening to anything.” Happiness is a warm pair of lug ‘oles, mate!
Highland Scotland gets snow virtually every year and copes just fine but wait till London gets a couple of inches and the papers will be announcing the advent of Armageddon like they did last year.
I guess I’m a visual type. About three photos in, I was thinking how cool the linkage was.
I’m used to snow. Half a lifetime in the middle of the US will do that. Two M is a little extreme, tho.
Strange about the “back to school” Sunday. It was many years after I graduated from college that I rid myself of the “damn-I-should-be-studying” syndrome. Now I have it again, because my lezioni d’italiano are kicking my butt.
So everyone then? I mean given that it is almost impossible not to belong to at least one minority it should be impossible not to be liked by the Daily Wail.
I haven’t watched the video yet. I don’t trust this modern phenomena of moving pictures. Not one bit.
