I’m with stupid. Unfortunately

What we need is a gigantic ejector seat. Then we could put all of the really stupid people in it, push the button and watch with glee as they get catapulted in to darkest outer space.

Or in to the sun.

I was going to rant about the unnamed 26-year-old woman from Southwark, south London who has failed her driving test an alleged ninety times.

And then I realised I was reading her story in the Daily Fail.

And the Daily Fail has a proud track record of printing stories that aren’t true, so I figured I’d leave that one alone.

So instead let’s focus on quite possibly the most stupid person in the whole of Wales.

Renee Brady, from Fairwater, Cardiff.

That’s Renee, on the left. On the right is her daughter Levi. Nice that Renee named her daughter after a pair of jeans.

Shows real class, that.

Anyway.

Renee’s 16-year-old, lying daughter went out and got a tattoo.

There’s a permanent stamp on Levi’s arse that says ‘100% Welsh Lamb’.

I’m not sure why the ‘l’ is capitalised.

Maybe they have different rules for English grammar down there in Cardiff.

Or maybe Levi is less than switched-on when it comes to understanding the rules of English.

The thing is, the law clearly states that only those over the age of 18 can be tattooed, so Levi lied about her age.

But who is the stupid girl’s mother focussing her anger at?

Her lying daughter?

Or the tattooist who her daughter lied to?

Yep.

She is, of course, angry at the tattooist.

And stupid Renee has raised complaints.

This means that public money is now being spent as officers from the South Wales Police investigate the complaint.

Officers from Cardiff Trading Standards are also investigating the complaint.

All this public money is being spent because Renee’s lying daughter wanted a tattoo, and was dishonest about her age to the tattooist.

What a stupid twat Renee Brady is.

Renee, you need to be a parent.

Take some responsibility for your 16-year-old daughter’s actions.

Stop blaming someone else.

She’s your lying daughter.

You deal with it.

Twat.

  1. Ahhhhh, it is MARVELLOUS to have you back Brenning me dear …. I have truly missed your rants!!

Now I am going to be controversial regarding the tattoo thing. Even though I have never yet raised a teenager, I kind of think that they like to fit in with their friends, and if friends are having tattooes, they will also want one. Hence the lying.

Tattooists should behave like off-licenses, they should be forced to ask their clients for proof of age, and be fined if they don’t (I couldn’t stand the idea of my daughter with a tattoo). Problem solved!

Either that, or the scary-looking mother should keep her daughter indoors. But that is kind of difficult when they are 16.

P.S. I haven’t walked the dog this week, so I haven’t listened to your podcast…. I am missing it 😉

  2. Lis: sometimes you and I are joined at the synapse. 🙂

Annie: thanks for the welcome back. And although I understand what you’ve said my point is best summed up this way:
    * If I was the parent of a 16 year old and knew she was contemplating a tattoo (at an underage point), I would ensure that didn’t happen. I would be a parent. I would do what being a parent entails
    * If I was the parent of a 16 year old who went out and got a tattoo I would have failed my job as a parent. There is no-one else to blame. If a 16 year old steals a car you don’t blame the car. If a 16 year old mugs an OAP you don’t blame the OAP. It’s time parents took some fucking responsibility for the actions of their offspring.

Clare: I understand what you’re saying. But I too am the parent of a daughter – a teenaged daughter at that.

  3. I lied to a tattooist to get a tattoo done at 15. It’s very small, it was very stupid. Sadly my parents did not choose to direct their ire at the tattooist, nope, they reserved their full spleen and displeasure for my good self. Which is as it should be. Renee needs to get a grip, she really does.
