It doesn’t matter how good the bike is (in the case of the ZX10R, it is totes excellent), bad things can still happen.
With just 1,100 miles on the clock (and on the rubber), this occurred:

We once had 3 separate incidents of screws in the tyres of two different cars in the space of 2 weeks. $$$
It’ one of those things, isn’t it? Miss them when they’re gone, don’t think of them when they’re there.
Ouch!
In all my years of motorcycling (37) I’ve been fortunate enough to pick up only two punctures.
That’s £164 I’m never going to get back 😀 But I’m really glad I caught it on a tyre inspection.
