I started up this blog in June 2007 which, seeing as it’s the end of May 2016, seems like a long time ago.
Nine years.
I started my first blog over on Blogger many years before.
The blogging bug, it comes and goes.
It’s a little like The Force.
Sometimes it’s strong with this one.
Sometimes it isn’t.
I’m still going to have a crack at the Music Challenge in June.
That’ll be a test.
Or not.
But, either way, I’m going to make more of a go of this.
There have been some changes, and challenges, in my life lately.
And, as a result, I was tempted to consider closing this blog down and moving to a private, anonymous place.
And that’s always an option.
But for now, bollocks to that.
This is my home.
It’s a bit wartsy-and-all, but it’s where I hang out.
For better, for worse.
For faster, for slower.
In sleepiness and in wide-awake-at-2am-ness.
So I’m going to try and rebuild the blogging (not sure if kicking things off with the much thought-about June Music Challenge is a wise way forward, but what the hey).
And maybe try to rebuild my links to the blogging community too.
So yeah.
That.
Because this blogging thing and I, we have a history.
And history is important.
Because if it wasn’t, none of us would know what happened in 1066.
And we do.
Or at least I do.
It’s when Cromwell burned the cakes in the Great Fire of London.
Or something.
See you tomorrow.
We shall plough through this together. I have 26 of the 29 songs required. None of the posts written but at least I’ll know what I’m struggling to write about!
If I actually wrote all the posts I thought about in my head as I drive about my blog would be packed full of posts, but by the time I am home and with other things to do, well…..
Good for you, Sir Dave. I look forward to dipping my ears in to your offerings.
