I set a deadline to have the latest novel finished by Christmas.
Excuse my hysterical laughter but… Ahahahahahahahaaaahahahahaaaa!
I’ve gone off track a few times.
It’s not like me to be so poorly-disciplined, but the characters have made me write four chapters which I have discarded. Although I might use the shell of one as the penultimate chapter.
Yes, that’s right. The characters made me do it. They have a habit of taking on their lives and living their own stories. And I do love them. Most of them.
My wordcount goal is 100-110k. The timeline is 12 months. The current stats look like this:

Early reports back from the three readers I’ve sent samples to have been encouraging. Except for one.
The time is 70% writing and 30% research. If things were different in the world, I might have jumped on an airplane and done a few weeks research in person. But the Internet is a wonderful thing, eh?
I had a leftfield thought about publication the other day, and the more I give the idea serious consideration, the more I think using a pseudonym might be a good idea.
Reasons. Obvious. Later. Etc.
Writing under a pen name can be most advantageous.
I’ve had a lot of success using the pseudonym Lee Childs.
I’m a big fan of your work
