After a couple of particularly muddy days in the fields, we (I think it was only me though) decided to get the dogs groomed, clipped, trimmed, and generally a bit pampered.
There’s a grooming parlour (right word?) in the village.
Early Thursday morning I delivered them, and picked them up mid-afternoon.
Blimey and indeed O’Reilly what a difference!
Soft-coated, sweetly-smelling, tastefully trimmed, and generally looking show-ready.
We haven’t gone down the fields yet (they’re more like 2,000 acres of mud right now), but despite being caught in a proper storm yesterday morning, the spanners are still looking and feeling gorgeous.

My mutt has a particularly filthy and matted undercarriage at the moment, due to all the crap that she kicks up when running through the woods.
We’ve considered getting her groomed, but at this time of year it seems a bit pointless.
We’ve stopped going across the fields, while the weather is this bad. The approaches to the two bridges that cross the brook are deep in mud; it’s a slip-over mudbath
