I’m considering an upgrade to the Ninja. She’s almost completely standard (apart from the aftermarket tail tidy that I had fitted before I picked her up). But the exhaust has been bugging me for a while.
Recently I’ve noticed that aftermarket exhausts have come down in price from the ridiculous to the affordable. And I think the time is right.
The ZX10-R is due for her annual service in a couple of months, so I think I’m going to ask Chris Walker to service her and fit one of these…

Will you need to get the engine remapped?
I didn’t bother when I fitted some ‘not-quite-street-legal pipes on my Trumpet and although it now sounds ten-times better than it did, I do get some popping on decel.
Not that I mind that too much.
Oh flip. I hadn’t considered there might be a need for remapping. I know someone in a nearby village who does Dynoing. I’ll have a word. Thanks for the heads up.
