Blogathon 24/25: Will

A couple of days ago a letter came flooding in from not my solicitor. The letter said that my company of solicitor(s?) has been taken over by another company of solicitors and therefore the sender of the letter – the not my solicitor – is now my solicitor. Clear on that? Good.

About the only business I’ve put through their books in the last dozen years (apart from the Cease and Desist notice and the Restraining Order I took out against Selena Gomez) was writing my Will. The letter from not my solicitor who is now my solicitor prompted me to mentally review it and yep, it’s time my Will got updated.

I’ll need to bring the Will into line with my Wishes document which my financial advisor holds. So I’ll need to get a copy of the Wishes document and then make an appointment with my not solicitor who is now my solicitor and sit down with them to go through everything to update the whole shebang. Then I’ll need to add in all my book/publication/publishing stuff because none of that is in my old Will.

It’s funny how much change just a dozen years can generate.

  1. It’s a good point. I keep thinking that I need to update mine/ours, but I just keep forgetting.
Any chance your not solicitor could drop me a reminder at some point?
