Ronan Monroe, the absolute titan of Oxfordshire’s fantastic music scene has decided it’s time to hang up his pen and pad and publish the very last edition of Nightshift Magazine.

I’ve seen so many Oxfordshire bands because of Nightshift Magazine. Ronan’s reviews were always compelling (even when he didn’t like what he’d heard/seen). The funniest review was one band being described as sounding ‘like a badger in a cardboard box falling downstairs’.
When I wrote, hosted, produced and presented the music podcast, I got so many leads and feeds from Ronan’s work. I’d go down to south Oxfordshire to watch a band in a pub just because Nightshift Magazine said I should. I’ve seen most of these bands upstairs in the Jericho (or in the Wheatsheaf) thanks to Ronan:
