AI spam

The latest AI spam (and AI spam is coming so rapidly and evolving almost weekly) is the most realistic ‘human’ who calls you up from a UK mobile number. She says (in unaccented but perfect southern English): “Hello. I have a part-time job opportunity available. Please add me on WhatsApp.”

Up until a couple of weeks ago, the voice wasn’t right, there was something which just didn’t sit properly; it was just a fraction too robotic and the spaces between the words/phrases were uneven. But wow, the new version? It’s perfect. However it does miss the fundamental logic trap. Why would a bona fide recruiter (or employer) be slingshotting voice recordings at someone, asking them to hit them up on WhatsApp, when they’ve already got someone’s number?
