The first test podcast for This Reality has been produced.
Actually, produced is a massive overstatement for something that’s so hilariously bad.
But at least the music’s good (what I allowed to play all the way out).
You can listen to some cringe-making audio here. But non-broadbanders beware, it’s about 10 minutes long and an 8Mb file!.
The good news – if I’ve set the permissions correctly – is that you can right click on the link and do the ‘Save As’ thing in your browser to download the file to your local hard-disk, mp3 player, etc).

I have plenty of good news:
(1) We have compatible music tastes!
(2) The podcast takes exactly the time I need to clip, file and polish my nails.
(3) I think this is fun (despite the technical difficulties).

Citronella: Thanks for the good vibes. There’ll be more Black Lab in issue 1 and the full version of the AC/DC vs Public Enemy mashup might even be allowed out one day.
And thanks for the link info. I’ve changed it now. I think it must have been a compatibility issue with your browser, I tested it against IE (or as developers call it: Aieeeee!) and Firefox. I’ll keep an eye on capitalisation and make sure I don’t let any more slips through. x

Well I had a listen and in no particular order some observations on your test transmission:
Is there going to be so much music on the ‘real thing’? Or are you going to blather more? 🙂
You could do with sorting out the music levels Vs Vocal levels.
Are you ‘mixing’ the tracks in live with your chat? It sounds like you are from what you’ve said. Might it be an idea to chat, record it, then edit it all together?
Well that was Firefox (2.0.0.12 for Ubuntu Gutsy, if you want all the dirty geeky details). It seems to be picky about capitalization (I’ve just tried a few things).

Kinda! I’m not going to suggest a time limit because I don’t want any contributor or commenter to feel constrained. But short constructed bursts of observation (or ire) make the point better than long rambles.
