This should so be a podcast item, there’s lots of audio potential with the right library files!
The people of Eire have chosen a puppet – Dustin the Turkey – to represent their country in the European Eurovision Song Contest.
I love the Irish sense of humour!
Only a country of people with a brilliant and collective sense of the ironic could arrive at the blindingly simple logic that the only message (and the only messenger appropriate to carry it) to take to the Eurovision Song Contest is…
A turkey – and not even a real one.
Brilliant!
The only problem with this plan is that neither the cabal of participating Baltic states nor the people who actually run the Eurovision Song Contest have enough intelligence to receive the message in the truly heartfelt way that Eire (and probably most of Northern, Western and Southern Europe) mean it.
The gesture is single finger, just wish the people who it is directed at could understand the meaning.
Well done Eire!
🙂
