People get paid to be this bad?

Seriously.

What’s wrong with this survey question?

I don’t want to use the phrase ‘constructed by numbskulls’.

No matter how appropriate that phrase may be.

As an example of ‘how not to construct a survey question’, this is perfect.

As an example of ‘how to engineer a survey’, this is a good one.

I’m thinking of sending this in to Private Eye.

It should be good for £10, if Ian’s feeling generous.

  1. What if someone knows who and what Freemasons are, but doesn’t agree with either of the first two responses?

Either that eventuality hasn’t occurred to the question-setter, the possibility of which I find unbelievable. Or it has occurred to the question-setter but s/he doesn’t want to go down that route.

    This is lazy thinking.
