So Vinnie won’t get to stretch his legs over Cleobury Mortimer this Sunday after all. Unsurprisingly it’s been cancelled due to the ground being waterlogged.
This just leaves us with one more attempt at the calendar for the year – Broadway 2 on Saturday 18th October (entries open 12th September – see what I mean about having to enter weeks and weeks in advance?).
Hmmm… (puts on thinking cap)…
Another thought seeps in.
Perhaps it’s time to slow things down a little?
Once upon a time I’d have found the thought of being a dressage queen distasteful but now… not hurtling towards big solid fences at 30mph is beginning to look slightly attractive.
We shall see.
B.
Do you get to wear a tiara as a dressage queen? ;P
How does Vinnie feel about it?
Oi Trixie! 🙂 But… the term ‘dressage queen’ has been knocking around for as long as I can remember. They are a special breed of person. And that’s all I should say for fear of being lynched at some stage in the future.
Merry: I haven’t told him yet. But if he was given the choice between charging all over the countryside with a rider on top or charging all over the countryside in the big field with all his mates, there would probably be no competition in his head. 🙂
I don’t do horses, so I have no idea of what you are talking about.
But ever since I started reading your blog, I’ve often thought of you as a “special breed of person”. 😉
Oi! (again). Actually Soph strokes my arm sometimes and says I’m ‘special’. I’m not altogether too sure I know what she means. But she does say to people, when we’re out ‘he hasn’t had his medication yet’… 🙂 But I read your blog and it’s nice to know that I don’t have the sole rights to being ‘special’… 🙂
Ouch.
Touche (I’ve forgotten how to put the accent over the e)
🙂
