We’ve all done it, right?
Pushed things just a little too quickly to get somewhere?
Been a little bit too keen to get home?
Desperately needed a wee, so tried just a little too hard on the road?
It’s easy to do; an easy mistake to make.
Especially on a motorbike.
Especially on a 20-year old motorbike.
Some people will undoubtedly get judgemental about this.
But not me.
Because we’ve all pushed, just a little too hard.
Now and then.
And anyone who says they haven’t, isn’t telling the truth.
I wish I had a vehicle that could do 149mph!
I think 149 on a 20-year old bike is pretty good. Of course, I’m not condoning such a feat on public roads. But still, 149 on a 20-year old bike? That’s impressive.
I got done for speeding on my bike some years back in rural Oxfordshire.
39 MPH.
That’s when I decided it was time to hang up the racing leathers.
39mph in, I’m guessing, a 30mph? Or could be a 20mph in Oxfordshire, but let’s stick with 30. £100 fine and three points? Cos that’s what I picked up on my ZX9R about 18 months ago. Only another 18 months and I can get them off my licence!
