Blogathon 25/21: A hard banging and a big blowjob!

Yesterday morning’s dogwalk was a most unpleasant experience. The wind was cutting straight through the village; when it was on the ease it was tremendously strong, but when it was gusting it was just terrible.

As we walked out we could hear trees and branches creak and groan, fence panels banging away, leaves and general debris were being pushed all over the place and even a couple of the paperboys were walking, rather than doing their rounds on bikes. Storm Dennis (for it is he) was doing his very best to give us all a tough time.

The dogs (and this is the important update) hated it and they *love* their walks and being outside. Robyn was constantly looking around, she didn’t even want to hang around feeding her tennis ball obsession, and Chewie just looked unhappy the whole time we were out. Normally he is the happiest soul ever.

We didn’t see any of the regulars on our walk and that’s pretty unusual too.

However…

My spies (the Met Office) tell me that Storm Dennis is on the verge of becoming a spent force, and by midday today might very well be over and indeed out.

The forecast for Saturday looks promising. There might be some allotment action (not me, as such), the dogs might get some quality walkies (maybe go out somewhere different perhaps?) and who knows, the Ninja might even get a little run out too. All activity will be socially distanced, of course.

Anyway, here’s a handy cutout and keep guide to storm names for the 2019-2020 season. No, I didn’t know there was such a thing as a storm season either.

Storm names 2019-2020

  1. It was certainly a bit blowy yesterday and last night, but it seems to have just about gone now.
Strange that the mutts weren’t too keen. Mine loves it: spent most of yesterday just laying in the back garden, with the wind blowing through her fur.
Actually, thinking about it, I don’t think it matters if it’s wind, rain or snow, she just loves being outside in it.
They are rubbish storm names, btw. Atilla, Thor and Ogri would be more suited to the bigger storms.

    1. Robyn has spent the last 20 minutes in the garden staring at a tennis ball. There’s not too much sense going on around here sometimes

  2. ‘Ang on a minnit mister. It’s 2021 and you just mentioned Dennis, but the chart says 2019-2020 and also mentions Dennis. Are the unoriginal each year, or is Dennis a real mean bugger who comes back for another go at ya?
