Blogathon 25/22: Security

As I am no longer sheltered by various know-all/see-everything IT security umbrellas afforded me by certain Central Government departments and their agencies, I have flashed a little cash and bought some services from a reliable third party. Because why wouldn’t you take every reasonable and routine precaution to safeguard yourself, and your online and personal data?

Over the years I’ve been impressed with NordVPN’s products, services, and cross-border response rates. I’ve looked at a few VPN providers, and NordVPN comes either close to or at the top of the list in every category. This jury is still out on the long-term security efficacy of password managers (even though NordVPN offer that service as well) but, for now, all I want is a reliable multi-national POP VPN service with high-end point to point encryption.

I was watching one of Erik Aanderaa’s wave-crushingly awesome videos yesterday evening when the Viking popped in a discount code for NordVPN services so it seemed a bit of a no-brainer. I don’t know how long the discount will be valid for, but going to https://nordvpn.com/erikaanderaa gets you a bit of a bargain.

Right, having installed it on this here laptop and installed the NordVPN Chrome extension, I’m just off to put this software on my phone.
