I’m the only human in the house this weekend. The 18yo is moving in to student accommodation at the University of Wales and that means the four spanners, an occasional number of cats, and I have the house to ourselves.
I got up at 03.45 this morning to make tea (because the good lady wife her indoors was on the road at 05.00) and as a result of the early morning shenanigans I am, at 15.25, absolutely knackered. I’ll walk and feed the spanners and then I should think about what I’m going to have for tea.
I was thinking… Pizza Hut takeaway? I tried to ask the older pair of spanners and all I got back was blank looks:
I was quite pleased to receive an email from Cineworld last week, saying that as a card holder I can now dine in Pizza Hut for 25% off.
The following day, I drove past our local Pizza Hut on my way to B&Q, only to see it had closed down.
Curses! Foiled again. Well, you were, anyway. Actually I swerved at the last minute. In Morrisons I spent £10 which gave me a decent-sized pizza, a large carton of banana-flavoured milk and a large visit to the salad bar. That lot kept me going for the evening meal and the next-day’s lunch. Not Pizza Hut, but also not the almost £30 I would have spent.
