I’ve noticed a growing trend of the word ‘impossible’ being incorrectly used. It’s right up there with ‘decimated’, but the misuse of ‘impossible’ is actually impossible to ignore.
I’ve seen ‘impossibly wet’, ‘impossibly tight’, ‘impossibly pretty’, and, this morning – in an email from Google – an invitation to make… well, the grammatical abomination is below.
I do realise most of these examples spring from Americans and therefore should be heavily discounted (because Americans can only speak “simplified English” according to the tech industry), but for crying out loud.

It should be ‘improbable’.
