Driven to distraction 3

The journey concludes with part 3 of 3. Obviously…

Part three of my drive from home to the stables, accompanied – on this leg – by one of the finest classical guitarists I’ve ever heard, Al Marconi.

And added birds.

I am going to reposition the camera – raise it higher but angle the lens downwards very slightly to compensate. And I will clean the windscreen before I try this technique again.

But all in all, I’d say the experiment was a success. How about you?

  1. Very cultured! I like the track that you have chosen. However, as well as car-cam, I think you should also post Bren-cam. Mount a video camera on your head and give us a birds eye view of you showjumping Tom!

  2. This project/exercise reminds me of the opening titles and music (Woke Up This Morning, by Alabama 3) to the Sopranos… but in a less New Jersey, more rural Oxfordshire sort of way. And with a reduced sense of the mafia.

    B+

  3. Liked this music choice the least of the three, but it was still enjoyable. Camera working very well. Pretty good colour and great exposure.

  4. I liked it. A full road trip with no petrol expense. I also prefer this music to the first two. Travelling music either has to be soothing – or hell bent for thunder. This was a soothing sort of roadway. I have driven a couple not too long ago that required a bit of Steppenwolf. Too much horsepower, top down, straight road.

  5. I’ll be honest, all three choices of music were made because they exactly matched the length of each video. I didn’t edit or muck about with the video speed, I just wanted pieces of music that matched the clip length. I am such a simpleton. 🙂

However, Bulldog is absolutely right, travelling music should either be ‘get up and went’ or soothing. However, ‘get up and wet’ music makes me put my right foot too far down…

  6. Love it. It’s strangely mesmerising watching someone else’s road trip set to music. And more interesting than the work I’m meant to be doing right now as well.
