I fitted a new dogflap into the kitchen door today. “New” because Robyn broke the old one. She broke the old-old one too. It’s not a talent she has. She just bombs through the dogflap at tremendous speed and, after a while, material fatigue sets in and a hinge breaks, or the plastic cracks, or something else gives up the ghost and falls apart. I buy the same one each time (I know, perhaps I shouldn’t but) because the fixing holes are the same and the cut-hole in the door is the same so replacing it is a straightforward operation. Anyway, here’s before and after pix:

My sister had a cat that would always bomb through the cat door at Mach 0.95. This stopped the day he lost the magnet from his collar that allowed the door to open. The cat door was fine. The glass door it was mounted in, not so much.
Hard-headed woman (as Cat Stevens sang)? Cat Stevens? Geddit? Also, that’s an expensive fix.
A dog flap for my pooch would require the lower half of the door being cut out.
Well, that’s feasible. I could design and cut that for you.
